The scope behind The Pitch at Parmer Pond.
Repurposed shipping containers
On site
Staircases and trellises
Riggers, welders, and operators
Every container went straight off the truck and into its permanent spot. Here's how we pulled it off.
The logistics of this job were one of its largest challenges. We looked at the question: how do we coordinate the offload and erection of repurposed shipping containers in a sequence that lets each unit be set in its permanent location right off the truck?

We worked very closely with the GC and fabricator on this job to locate the crane in a spot where it could reach the incoming trucks to set, stand, and stack each container as we fit and welded the embeds and bridge structures between units. Once all of the units were in place, we erected the staircases and trellises that brought a very functional, yet decorative, look to the plaza. After the landscape architecture was installed and the units were punched out by other trades, we traveled back to Austin to install railings and platforms throughout the ground level and over the units for roof equipment access.

The final look is spectacular! The general contractor on this project was very organized and methodical, which made our job and the coordination between all of the trades seamless.
