FAQs
Answers to some of the questions we hear most often.
Do you provide weld documentation or as-builts?
We provide weld maps, inspection records, and marked-up as-builts at closeout, along with material traceability documentation where the project requires it.
How do you coordinate piping work with the other trades?
Piping rarely runs on its own schedule. We coordinate layout and installation with the general contractor so the work lands in the right order relative to excavation, concrete, and structural steel, and we flag conflicts early rather than after something is covered.
Are your welders certified to project welding procedures?
Yes. Our welders are qualified to ASME Section IX procedures, and we provide procedure and welder qualification records with the submittal package.
Do you handle underground utility runs as well as interior piping?
Yes, we self-perform both. Keeping the underground runs and the interior piping with one crew means the tie-ins are planned together rather than handed between trades, which is usually where schedule gets lost.
What types of mechanical piping do you install?
We fabricate and weld process and utility piping in carbon steel and stainless, typically in the 2” to 24” range. That covers underground service runs, interior mechanical systems, and the process piping that ties equipment into a building.
How far in advance should crane work be scheduled?
Two to three weeks is typical for a planned lift, which gives us time to walk the site and confirm equipment. We regularly work with shorter notice when sequencing changes, so it is worth calling even if the schedule has already moved.
Can you handle rigging for steel another contractor fabricated?
Yes. We regularly support projects where the steel was fabricated elsewhere, and we coordinate with the fabricator and the erection team so the pick sequence matches how the material arrives on site.
What certifications do your operators and riggers hold?
Our operators hold NCCCO certification, and our riggers and signalpersons are qualified to the standards commercial jobsites require. Documentation is available on request before mobilization.
How do you plan a lift on a tight or constrained site?
We walk the site before the crane arrives to confirm access, ground conditions, and overhead clearances, then plan each pick around the sequence the project is working to. Where access is limited, we coordinate with the general contractor on staging and timing so the lift does not hold up the other trades.
Do you provide the crane, or does it need to be supplied?
We provide the crane and operator for most of the lifts on our own projects. When a pick calls for more reach or tonnage than our equipment covers, we bring in the right machine through rental partners we work with regularly and run the lift with our own crew.
What is your approach to safety during erection?
We plan each phase around site-specific hazards, fall protection, lift activity, access, and crew coordination while maintaining compliance with project and regulatory safety requirements. Read more about our safety certifications here.
How do you handle field changes or steel that does not fit as detailed?
We identify issues early, communicate them quickly, and coordinate with the appropriate project team members to determine the most efficient path forward before the issue impacts downstream work.
Can you staff up for aggressive schedules or phased work?
Yes. We can scale crews based on project needs and adjust manpower as sequencing, access, or schedule demands change.
How do you coordinate steel erection with other trades and the project schedule?
Our team works closely with the GC and field leadership to align sequencing, crane access, deliveries, laydown areas, and manpower with the overall construction schedule.
Can you handle the full structural steel erection scope?
Yes. We can support complete erection packages, including columns, beams, joists, decking, stairs, miscellaneous steel, and related field installation.
What sizes of projects do you take on?
We support commercial projects of many sizes, from smaller structural packages to large, complex developments requiring significant fabrication and field installation.
Do you work with general contractors?
Absolutely. We partner with general contractors, construction managers, and developers to deliver dependable structural steel solutions.
Can you handle both fabrication and erection?
Yes. We offer both structural steel fabrication and field erection, giving you a single partner from shop to jobsite.
How quickly can you provide a quote?
Quote timelines vary depending on the size and complexity of the project, but we work to provide accurate, timely estimates so you can keep your project moving.
What areas do you serve?
We proudly serve contractors and commercial projects throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex and the surrounding region.
What types of structural steel do you fabricate?
We fabricate structural steel for a wide range of commercial projects, including office buildings, industrial facilities, schools, healthcare, retail, and other large-scale developments.
Can you fabricate steel even if another contractor is handling erection?
Yes. We regularly provide fabrication-only services and work closely with outside erection teams to help keep projects on schedule.
How do I get started?

How do you ensure quality?
Quality starts with experienced craftsmen, proven fabrication processes, and thorough inspections at every stage. Every project is reviewed to help ensure it meets specifications before it leaves our shop.
Do you provide shop drawings?
We coordinate closely with project teams throughout the fabrication process and work from approved shop drawings to ensure every component is fabricated accurately and efficiently.
